We achieve exceptional exam results without sticking blindly to the syllabus or cramming facts and figures. We applaud success but nurture a diverse, inclusive community in each of our three schools and our 6th form college, where friendship and support are just as important as doing well (probably more so).We're small enough to know each other but large enough to provide challenges and stimulate debate.Whether we're introducing the small boys and girls in our pre-prep to the world beyond their families, helping the girls in our junior and senior schools to grow in confidence and courage as they grow up or encouraging the young adults in our 6th form college to broaden their intellectual, personal and social horizons, we celebrate individuality and curiosity.Of course, we have great facilities and offer one-to-one attention but the key is brilliant teaching in an unusually warm, relaxed atmosphere – and the way we encourage our pupils and students to think: independently, analytically, logically, creatively, imaginatively.Together, we explore around ideas, find out where a concept might lead, come up with unusual answers to questions and learn how to sift what's relevant from what's simply clutter (a particularly useful skill in the internet age). We embrace the latest technology and make it work to bring learning alive. As well as the usual banks of desktop computers, we're rolling out iPads across the junior and senior schools,and everyone in the 6th form college gets their own lap-top.Last year, we welcomed newcomers from around 30 schools, in both the maintained and private sectors, and from every kind of background. With our roots in the 17th century philanthropy that also led to the creation of The Perse School (we're entirely separate now and have very different approaches), we're working to extend access so that everyone who loves to learn can benefit from the exceptional education we offer.
