Overview
The schoolwas founded in 1480 by William Waynflete. Waynflete, believing in education as a facilitator of social mobility, wanted to found a school of an entirely new kind: a school that would be at the heart of that new and exciting proposition, the university. Quickly, MCS became one of the country's leading schools. Today's MCS, proud inheritor of these traditions, remains just that. We believe that this is, in part, because of the continuing and remarkable relationship we enjoy with the global university which surrounds us. We are hugely fortunate in our facilities and environment.
