Overview

CMRS's commitment to interdisciplinary research on the Medieval, Renaissance and Early Modern periods has led to five Faculty Development Conferences in the summers since 2005. In Summer 2012 there will be a ten-day Faculty Development Conference; an Interactive Symposium on Rhetoric in the Twenty-First Century; and a four-week residency for Research Fellows. This will allow the faculty to spend time in Oxford with access to its vast network of libraries and resources.CMRS has established a Consortium of Colleges and Universities to foster relationships with a network of American colleges. The Consortium provides information to prospective students, supports activities such as faculty conferences and research fellowships, and aims through the affiliation between CMRS and Keble to strengthen academic links between Oxford and the United States. The lead college in the Consortium is Middlebury College in Vermont, widely known for its international programs and schools abroad.
