Overview

The British American Drama Academy (BADA) was founded in 1984 to enable students from around the world to study classical theatre with leading actors and directors of the British stage. BADA runs two semester-long courses, the London Theatre Program and the Shakespeare Program, for which students from American colleges can receive full academic credit, and two one-month summer programs, Midsummer in Oxford and the Midsummer Conservatory Program, which are open to all applicants. Students on all of BADA's programs are eligble for financial aid. BADA is a not-for-profit organisation. BADA seeks to attract to their faculty staff and student body qualified persons of diverse backgrounds. No application for admission as a student is discriminated against because of race, colour, religion, gender, sexual orientation or national or ethnic origin. Derek Jacobi CBE, Patron of BADA "I have been associated with BADA ever since it began organising courses in British classical theatre for students overseas. In my opinion, it offers the most wonderful opportunity for students to take part in this country's great theatrical tradition." Sir Derek Jacobi CBE (Patron of BADA) The British American Drama Academy is a UK Border Agency Highly Trusted Sponsor.
