This course is aimed at supporting health and social care practitioners who wish to develop managerial and leadership roles within the health or social care sector. In addition, it covers the international factors which shape and influence management and leadership within both of these sectors. The course will ensure that you fully recognise the significance of the values and principles of care promoted by the NHS Constitution (DH 2010), reiterated through the outcomes of the NHS Mid Staffordshire enquiry (Francis, 2013) to inform content delivery and interpreted for both UK NHS and non-UK based students whilst on the course of study. The course will enable overseas students from large emerging markets such as China, India and Africa to share existing knowledge as well as acquire the new knowledge and skills needed to manage and lead in a changing marketplace.

Applicants should normally have a good first degree or equivalent and be currently working in or have recently worked within the arena of Management and Leadership. You do not necessarily need a professional qualification for access to the course, but do
