This programme is intended for students who have a background in Byzantine Studies and, normally, some knowledge of Greek. Taught elements provide you with an opportunity to deepen your knowledge of Byzantium through a range of modules in archaeology, art, literature and numismatics. The course can be pursued in the following pathways: Byzantine Art Byzantine History Late Roman and Byzantine Archaeology Late Roman and Byzantine Numismatics At the heart of this degree is the supervised research project, leading to a 20,000- word dissertation tackling a significant topic in Byzantine Studies.
