Course Description
In order to ground students in representative approaches to American Studies, the course has the same compulsory courses in Semester 1 as the MA American Studies. In the remainder of the course, specialization in Visual Culture is evident in at least one 30-credit option and the dissertation being undertaken on a Visual Culture topic, including Film Studies. Currently, all available Visual Culture modules within the School are Film Studies modules, which ensure that students have a minimum of 90 credits in Visual Culture.
